Hera

Hera originates in Greek language and means "heroine". In Greek mythology, Hera was the wife of Zeus in the Olympian pantheon. She was the goddess of women and marriage. Her equivalent in Roman mythology is Juno. In spite of the fact that she was the most important Greek goddess, Hera has never gained much popularity as a feminine given name in the United States.
