Athena originates in Greek language and the meaning of the name is unclear. In Greek mythology, Athena, sometimes called Pallas Athena, was the goddess of wisdom, warfare, strength and justice. Her equivalent in Roman mythology was Minerva. Athena was also the virgin patron of Athens.
