Devon

Devon is a variant of Devin. Devin originates in Gaelic languages and probably means "of a little deer". It was derived from an old Irish surname and nowadays can be used as both feminine and masculine given names. Some sources also suggest its origin in Sanskrit and the meaning "from God". Devon might also be derived from the name of a county in southwestern England.
