Laurel

Laurel originates in Latin language and is taken from the word for a laurel tree, an aromatic evergreen large shrub. It can be used as both feminine and masculine given names, currently it is much more popular for boys in the United States. It functions as a surname as well, the famous bearer being Stan Laurel, one of the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy.
