Marinda

Marinda is a variant of Miranda. Miranda is of Latin origin and it means "wonderful, she who deserves to be admired". Miranda is the name of Shakespeare's heroine in his play The Tempest. Shakespeare originally created this name for this play. It can also be used as a surname, as in Carmen Miranda. As a given name, it has been commonly used since the 20th century.
