Micaela

Micaela is a Spanish, Italian and Portuguese variant of Michaela. Michaela originates in Hebrew language and it is a femine form of Michael. Michael is ultimately derived from Hebrew and means "which man is like God?", which is a rhetorical question suggesting a negative answer. Michaela is a very popular name in European countries. In the United States it was popularized in the TV series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, where Michaela Quinn is the main character, played by Jane Seymour.
