Shelley

Shelley originates in Old English and means "meadow on a river bank". Originally it was used as a masculine given name, today it is more common for girls. It functions as a surname as well, the most famous bearers probably being an English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley and his wife, Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein.
