Rhonda

Rhonda originates in Welsh language and means "woman with great lance, spear". The exact origin is unclear, though. Some sources suggest it might also be derived from Rhondda Valley in South Wales, or the River Rhondda in Wales. In both these cases, the meaning would be "loud". It came to use at the beginning of the 20th century.
